The event blends seasonal fun with hands‑on production experience, giving students a platform to practice live‑coverage techniques while celebrating the holidays.

Organizers designed the Olympics to serve two purposes: provide authentic live‑production practice for journalism students and create a festive, community‑focused showcase for the school. The first round, a Hershey Kiss relay, set the tone for the series.
Competition Format
Each competitor receives an individual table equipped with the same supplies, ensuring a level playing field. The standard kit for the opening round includes:
- One toothpick
- One bag of Hershey Kisses (approximately 30 pieces)
- A one‑minute timer
Contestants must transfer as many Kisses as possible from the bag to a designated container using only the toothpick. The timer starts when the host signals “Go” and stops at the 60‑second mark. Scores are tallied instantly and displayed on the live graphics overlay managed by the Sports Broadcasting crew.
