How To Make Netherite Armor And Tools Bedrock

Netherite is the toughest material in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Upgrading from Diamond to Netherite gives you higher durability, better enchantability, and immunity to fire and lava. This guide will teach you exactly how to craft the coveted gear, step by step.

What You Need Before You Start

Before you can begin the crafting process, gather the following resources. All items are obtainable in Survival mode without cheats.

Step‑by‑Step: How To Craft Netherite Ingots

Netherite Ingots are the core ingredient for every piece of Netherite gear. Follow these steps to create them.

  1. Find Ancient Debris: Mine in the Nether at Y‑levels 8‑22. Use a Diamond or Netherite pickaxe to break the block.
  2. Smelt Ancient Debris: Place each block in a furnace or blast furnace. Each block yields 1 Netherite Scrap.
  3. Combine with Gold: Open the crafting grid (2×2). Place 4 Netherite Scraps in a square and surround them with 4 Gold Ingots. This crafts 1 Netherite Ingot.

Repeat the process until you have enough ingots for the armor and tools you want to upgrade.

How To Upgrade Diamond Gear to Netherite

Now that you have Netherite Ingots, you can transform your Diamond equipment. The Smithing Table is the only block needed for this upgrade, and the recipe does not consume the original Diamond item.

Upgrade Process

  1. Place a Smithing Table on the ground.
  2. Open the UI. In the left slot, put the Diamond item you wish to upgrade (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, or hoe).
  3. In the right slot, insert 1 Netherite Ingot.
  4. The result slot will display the Netherite version of your item.
  5. Drag the upgraded piece into your inventory.

Each upgrade consumes 1 Netherite Ingot. The durability of the new Netherite item carries over from the Diamond version, so the more used your Diamond gear, the less durability the Netherite version will start with.
