Swatch Omega Moonwatch White Dial – Overview
The Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch collaboration continues to generate interest among watch enthusiasts, and the white‑dial version is one of the most talked‑about releases of 2024. This model combines Swatch’s innovative Bioceramic case technology with design cues taken from the classic Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, offering a more accessible entry point to the iconic chronograph aesthetic.
Design and Materials
The watch features a 42 mm case crafted from Bioceramic, a composite material that blends ceramic powder with a bio‑based polymer. According to Swatch, this approach reduces the environmental impact compared with traditional ceramics while maintaining scratch resistance and a lightweight feel.
The case, crown, and pushers are all finished in a matte white Bioceramic, giving the timepiece a clean, monochrome appearance. A black tachymeter bezel surrounds the dial, providing the traditional Speedmaster contrast without adding extra weight.
The lug-to-lug distance measures approximately 48 mm, and the thickness is around 13.5 mm, dimensions that closely mirror those of the original Moonwatch. The watch is water‑resistant to 3 bar (30 meters), suitable for everyday splashes but not for swimming or diving.
Strap Options
The white‑dial MoonSwatch is offered with two strap choices:
- A white Velcro‑style NATO strap made from recycled polyester, secured with a stainless‑steel buckle.
- A black silicone strap with a white‑stitched detail, also featuring a stainless‑steel buckle.
Both straps are interchangeable using the standard 20 mm lug width, allowing owners to switch between a sporty look and a more casual style.
Dial and Hands
The dial is a smooth white surface with applied black hour markers and a black outer minute track. Three sub‑dials sit at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, mirroring the layout of the Speedmaster Moonwatch:
